The 12 Traits of a Leader

“Everyone leads, even if they are only leading them self.”

How are you leading yourself? In this introduction to “The 12 Traits of a Leader,” I talk to Kevin Messerschmidt about the single most powerful leadership lesson I learned. And I assure you, EVERYONE can lead well if they apply it.

After watching this video, consider these questions:

Do you see yourself as a leader?

What kind of leadership traits are you modeling to those in your sphere of influence?

How can you lead yourself well, so that others will want to follow?

What is the most important leadership lesson you have learned? Tell me about it in the comments.

I will begin to tell you what the 12 traits are in Part 2 of “The 12 Traits of a Leader.” It’s coming soon, watch for it!

  1. The most important leadership skill I have learned is that “actions speak louder than words.” As a Mom I can tell my kids to make good food choices, to keep their rooms tidy or not to be so judgmental of people, but if I’m not modeling it, they won’t take it seriously.
